Mainly this is an excuse for me to talk, and try to make the site less messy. But it's important. This site is for NaNoWriMo, that lovely month of November where writers try to write 50k words. It can be a story, a collection of poems, whatever you like to write. Our site is here to store those lovely words, but most of all, inspire. When you're stuck we've got things to get you out of dreaded writer's block and into the muse kingdom. When you're just not happy with your writing, we have a place where loving (and educated) members will critique your writing. When you're tired of writing, we've got the games to keep you creative and help you unwind. Most of all, you'll make friends, writing buddies, that will hopefully last even until after the site is gone. (which is NEVER!) So if you haven't joined, I hope that helps you understand why you should.
With love and care,
Abbi

Novel Bank Info « Thread Started on Sept 5, 2008, 12:17pm »
Welcome to the Novel Bank! If you're from WD, this will be exactly like the Project board, where you would have your story put up for crits.
If you're NOT from WD, let me explain a little bit about the Novel Bank.
The Novel Bank is an area where you can post the story that you're working on chapter-by-chapter (or whatever) for feedback. There will be different categories to put it in, such as Realistic Fiction, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, etc., so just pick which one applies to you and start posting!
At my old board, Writer's Dominion, each member had their own sub-board to post their story and anything related to it (character profiles, histories, scene-index's, etc.) so that they could get feedback on all of it, but it's a bit of a hassle creating fifty different sub-boards. Instead, just post your STORY. All of that other stuff you can post somewhere in the Writing Construction area.
Also, when creating a thread for your story, please keep all chapters in that ONE THREAD. If you're getting replies like crazy and your thread gets to be around 3 to 5 pages, let an admin know and we will make you a separate sub-board to contain all of your craziness and future chapters.
If a story is left for dead, it will be moved to an eventual "Archive" board.
If you have any questions or comments or anything like that, please let me know! I'd be happy to answer them.
